The Academy at Shotton Hall is the founding school of the North East Learning Trust. Situated in Peterlee on the East Durham Coast, the Academy is recognised both regionally and nationally for its effective approaches to teaching and learning and its consistent high performance year-on-year.
As a national research school and national teaching school the Academy is at the forefront of educational practice. Many of the Academy's staff work across the Trust to implement innovative teaching and learning strategies to foster a culture of sharing best practice.
