The NELT Institute is the school improvement arm of the North East Learning Trust. By bringing together our outstanding SCITT, National Research School, Teaching School Hub and wide network of senior and national leaders of education, we can offer high-quality professional development and school improvement support for schools both inside and out-with our Trust.

From the beginning of a career as a trainee teacher, right through to supporting progression into school leadership, the NELT Institute has the people and the know how to help.
We focus on supporting individuals and schools to implement evidence-informed, high-quality professional development at every stage of an educational career.

Through one-to-one sessions with our expert practitioners through to training events and conferences delivered by our Research School, we offer excellent school-led support that really makes a difference - especially in areas that will have the most impact the most vulnerable children.
