Hermitage Academy

Hermitage Academy was sponsored by the North East Learning Trust in September 2019.

Since joining the Trust the school has benefitted from a programme of rapid improvements and physical upgrades including an internal makeover that has seen classrooms and common areas completely transformed into bright, fresh spaces conducive to learning. Teaching and Learning has also improved significantly, with NELT's rigorous approach to planning, marking and feedback rolled out across all key stages.

In 2024, Hermitage Academy was rated 'Good' from Ofsted.
